President Tokyo/Seoul, Wieden+Kennedy
Yosuke’s professional experience on both the agency and brand side of business has taken him across three continents, having served in various roles and projects in Japan, the US, the UK, and Southeast Asia. Before founding R/GA Tokyo in 2017, he held senior strategy positions with Dentsu, Naked Communications,leading local and regional brand strategy or experience strategy for multinational Automotive, Beverage, Sports, Beauty, Entertainment and other FMCG brands, as well as producing exhibitions and music events including the MTV Video Music Awards Japan. Early in his career, he ran the AXE account at BBH Tokyo, where he first learned the art of balancing strategy and creativity, as well as the importance of talent development and culture. He also worked at The Coca-Cola (Japan) Company where he was responsible for leading strategy and creative development for the sparkling drinks category.
As of February 2024, Yosuke oversees the Tokyo and Seoul market as the President of Wieden+ Kennedy (Tokyo/Seoul). In the 3 years at W+K, he has evolved the business of creativity to span from not only advertising but into experience design, and corporate innovation with clients to develop their brand and customer experience strategy. Throughout his career as a strategist and business leader, he has helped grow client’s/brands business, as well as helping pick up Awards in Cannes Lions, Effies, Spikes Asia and other Award shows.
