Strategic Founder Bureau of Everything & Gruen Panelist
Founder, Chief Strategy Officer & Gruen Panelist Emily has spent the last 20 years creating strategically rigorous foundations for brilliant ideas, in the UK and Oz. Campaigns and products that solve real business and customer problems. Having worked in management consultancy, brand, digital and branding agencies she’s a seriously ambidextrous thinker. Although, she’s not very serious. Through her time at AKQA, VCCP, BMF, Leo Burnett & M&C Saatchi, she has accumulated experience in EVERYTHING (nearly); from travel and gaming through to technology and financial services. Working with some of the world’s biggest and most innovative brands like Xbox, Expedia, Samsung, Tourism Australia and Woolworths. The highlights reel includes helping Samsung beat out Apple in the lucrative mid-tier phone category and relaunching the Australian Tourism industry with an animated roo called Ruby. She has a shelf full of Effies, Lions and Pencils to show for it all. Plus a regular spot on the ABC’s Gruen show. She also co-founded an ethical investing app with her husband, which they sold in 2021.
Two big network misfits, with over 40 years of collective global experience and dozens of Effies to their names, invite you to join the rebellion against wasted opportunity. For an insider perspective on how to overcome today’s ‘do more with less’ reality without adding to mounting pile of marketing waste - plus tips on how to counter the trend towards dull, conservative work with real world lessons from hugely successful campaigns - this session is not to be missed.
